LaMelo LaFrance Ball is an American professional basketball player for the Minnesota Timberwolves of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was selected by the Charlotte Hornets with the third overall pick of the 2020 NBA draft. Ball was voted the NBA Rookie of the Year in 2021 and named an NBA All-Star the following season in 2022.
