Adam Duncan, 1st Viscount Duncan

Admiral of the White Adam Duncan, 1st Viscount Duncan was a Royal Navy officer who served in the Seven Years' War, American War of Independence and French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars. He is best known for defeating the Batavian Navy at the 1797 Battle of Camperdown, which was one of the most significant naval battles of the French Revolutionary Wars.
